To work with Flutter, first you need to download Flutter SDK to your computer. But, before that, we have to change Mac OS shell from bash to zsh. In Mac OS Catalina, the default interactive shell. No matter which one of the Flutter release channelsyou follow, you can use the

To update the Flutter SDK use the
flutter upgrade
command:This command gets the most recent version of the Flutter SDKthat’s available on your current Flutter channel.
If you want an even more recent version of the Flutter SDK,switch to a less stable Flutter channeland then run
flutter upgrade

Switching Flutter channels
Flutter has four release channels:stable, beta, dev, and master.We recommend using the stable channelunless you need a more recent release.
To view your current channel, use the following command:
To change to another channel, use
flutter channel <channel-name>
.Once you’ve changed your channel, use flutter upgrade

Upgrading packages
If you’ve modified your
pubspec.yaml
file, or you want to updateonly the packages that your app depends upon(instead of both the packages and Flutter itself),then use one of the flutter pub
commands.To update to the latest compatible versions ofall the dependencies listed in the
pubspec.yaml
file,use the upgrade
command:To identify out-of-date package dependencies and get adviceon how to update them, use the

Selecting a specific version
If you have a specific version of Flutter that you’d like to switch to,you can use the

If you already have the Flutter SDK and want to update it, you can do so by running the following command:
Running this from the root of your application will update both Flutter and the packages in use.
Download IntelliJ IDEA
Next, you’ll need to download the IDE to create Flutter apps, you can do this by downloading IntelliJ Idea here.
You’ll also need to add the Flutter plugin to the IDE. You can do this by opening the Preferences pane, selecting Plugins and then searching for flutter. At this point, you will have the option to select “Install” to install the plugin.
